About Us

* Open Hearts * Open Minds * Open Doors *

This United Methodist phrase reflects our perspective of faith, welcoming all who seek to grow in God’s command to “Love God and Love Neighbor.”

Our church is part of the Roanoke District (www.roanokeumc.org) of the Virginia Annual Conference (www.vaumc.org).

The cross and flame is the official symbol of the United Methodist Church. The cross symbolizes the powerful ministry of Jesus Christ who showed God’s great love for humankind in his life, death and resurrection. The flame symbolizes the presence of the Holy Spirit, which empowers Christians to know Jesus Christ and to make him known through life lived both within and outside the church.

We believe that God has given many gifts to different individuals, and that those gifts are significant in the shared ministry of the church.

Let love be genuine. Hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good. Love one another.
